How to Delete Downloads on Android
There are a few different ways to delete downloads on your Android device. The most common way is to go into your Settings app and tap on Storage, then tap on the Downloads folder and select the files you want to delete. You can also delete downloads by opening the Downloads app and tapping on the trash can icon next to the file you want to delete.
Open your Android’s file manager app
Open your Android’s file manager app. If you don’t have a file manager, you can download an app from the Play Store, such as ES File Explorer.
- Tap the folder that contains the files you want to move. This will open a list of all the files in that folder.
- Tap and hold the file you want to move. A checkmark will appear next to the file.
- Tap the files you want to move. You can tap as many files as you want to move.
- Tap the icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. This will open a pop-up menu.
- Tap Move. This option is in the pop-up menu.
- Tap the folder you want to move the files to. This will open a list of all the folders on your Android.
- Tap the icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. This will save the files in the new location.
- Tap the folder with the downloads you want to delete.
If you’re like most people, your downloads folder is probably a cluttered mess. There’s no need to keep every file you’ve ever downloaded, and it can be helpful to clean it out from time to time.
How to delete downloads on your computer
To delete downloads on a Windows computer, first open the downloads folder. This is usually located in your Documents folder, but you can also find it by searching for “downloads” in the Start menu. Once you’ve opened the downloads folder, tap or click on the folder that contains the downloads you want to delete. Then, press the Delete key on your keyboard or right-click and select Delete.
On a Mac, open the Finder and click on the Downloads folder. Then, select the files you want to delete and press the Command+Option+Backspace keys. You can also right-click on the selected files and choose Move to Trash.

How to clean up your download history
If you want to delete a downloads, tap and hold on it until a check mark appears. This will delete the downloads from your device.

Most people know that holding down the “X” button on their iPhone deletes apps that they no longer want.
